Gernelin Capellan was born and raised in Tenares, The Dominican Republic. He moved to the United States, (Lawrence, MA) when he was 12 years old. He attended to the Health and Human Services High School at the LHS Campus (Class of 2014). After high school, he graduated from Salem State University in 2018. He majored in World Languages and Cultures with a concentration in Spanish. He minored both in Educational Studies and Travel and Tourism. He has a strong passion for the Spanish language and supporting others to create an awareness of the importance of speaking Spanish in Spanish speaking countries, as well as in the Lawrence community. The best part of working in the Abbott Lawrence Academy is the strong built relationships between students and staffs. We truly are like a family here at ALA!
